I received the licenses I recently ordered. For clarity I chose first to merge my existing license files with te new one. The name that came out for the new licensefile was 'veeam_backup_full_downgrade_xxx' (xxx=my # of licenses).

XXX = ok, it reflects the correct number. What is worrying me is the 'downgrade'.
What happens here, is it a flaw in the name creation or do I really downgrade my license when I apply the licensefile? Obvious, I am reluctant in applying the license right now..

The license files may be download by logging in to my.veeam.com. Once logged in, select ‘Production Licenses’ ‘License Management’. Then, on far right select ‘Get license key' next to the license needed. Next, select the version of the license file needed. Here you need to browse license file location and select the license file then click on open button. Now you can see i have successfully installed the license in Veeam Backup and Replication Software so just click on close button. Veeam Backup Service is a Windows service that coordinates all operations performed by Veeam Backup & Replication such as backup, replication, recovery verification and restore tasks. The Veeam Backup Service runs under the LocalSystem account or account that has the local Administrator permissions on the backup server.
